We got off to a bad start on the pistol rounds, losing the first in a very close Bombsite A retake. From then we were against SMGs who were anti-eco, so our subsequent Short rush failed and then a communication breakdown lost us the next 2 rounds.
That confusion carried over into the first buy round where people ended up in the wrong positions which cost us the round. We lost the next deco and then finally picked up our first round of the match with a nice B retake.
At this point it got embarrassing for us since their 5th kept timing out leaving them with only 4 to play for most of the remaining rounds...and they still managed to win most of them. Some of the rounds were close, but others were lost due to silly mistakes like people not clearing obvious spots etc..
We began to turn it around in the closing rounds, however, winning the last 4 in a suitable confidant manner. It's just too bad we couldn't play like that for the whole half.

Again we got off to a bad start with a slow call and some confusion as to what we were supposed to be doing and we lost the first round. We were really close to winning the second round, but the flank from Long A came too late and the damage had already been done. Our third eco was actually decent, with Krabz getting a couple of nice deagle headshots to open up Mid for us and we split B failry successfully, but didn't hold very well and lost the round.
Once we were able to buy we started getting mroe comfortable, with some nice picking and good teamwork. (If you only read one thing, read this:) One round we actually managed to get their entire team to rotate to A just by picking Long and throwing a couple of nades - except we went A when perhaps we should have gone B. It's at least something we should consider doing more in the future.
After that we were alternating rounds back and forth, with a couple of really unlucky loses like where maGzZ was 1v1 with the bomb down at A and the CT just happened to spam a shot maGzZ's way and everyone thought that the CT knew where he was when, in fact, he wasn't even spamming the box maGzZ was behind, it went through the boxes on A Site...really unlucky.
By then end we were winning quite often, even taking the last round with a clean sweep. Just like the first half, it seemed like we got settled too late and had already lost the cruicial rounds. Lots to learn from this match though.
